The russian-born artist makes use of the strategy of drifting in order to explore places for interventions in public urban space. He describes his art as one that goes unnoticed at first glance and is linked to unusual uses of public resources. In his project Open Power (2016), for example, he located a large number of public power sockets and published their locations on a map of Cologne printed on the back of an advertising poster and on the internet. In his project Iconoclash, which he realized as part of CityLeaks Academy, he addressed the hegemony of advertising in urban space. He chose to intervene on a section of Vogelsanger Straße, which is occupied by countless billboards.
